ACTION RESEARCH
MEANING OF ACTION RESEARCH
The process by which practioteners attempt study their problems scientifically in order to guide, correct and evaluate their decisions and action .
Applied research is a research that any of us can do his /her own practice to improve it .It can be conducted with the assistance or guidance of professional researchers in order to improve strategies practice and knowledge of the environment within they practice .
DEFENITION OF ACTION RESEARCH
Action Research is a process wherien participants examine their own educational practice systematically& carefully using techniques of research .
Kurt Levin first coined theterm "Action Research " in 1944.
CHARACTERISTICS OF ACTION RESEARCH
- It is a process of studying practical problems of education .
- The focus is to improve & modifiy the current practices .
- The individual and group problems are studied by action research .
- Develops new ways of seeing the world .
- It is a scientific procedure for finding out a practical solution of current situation .
- The form of problem should be real .
- Grounded in real life experience .

COLLABORATIVE ACTION RESEARCH
It may include as few or two teachers or a group of several teachers and other intrested in addressing in classroom of department issue .
SCHOOL WIDE RESEARCH
Focuses on issues common to all
DISTINCTIVE RESEARCH
For more complex & utilizes more resources but the reward can be great .Issue can be organizational based are process for decision making .

Students do not take interest in accounts period .

Students of sadhu vashwani international school of grade 11 do not take interest accounts period .

PROBABLE CAUSES OF THE PROBLEM
- The teacher do not make the class interesting .
- The subject is hnew for the students .
- The base is not clear .
- The student do not like practical subject .
- They have already study in tutions .
- Inappropriate learning stratiges .
- Weak at calcutions .
- Accounts period is at the last of the day .
- Teachers directly solve sums from exercises rather then solving them first from illustrations .
HYPOTHESIS OF PROBABLE CAUSES
1st cause :
The teacher do not make the class intresting .
HYPOTHESIS
If the teacher use different methods according to the chapter then the class become intresting .
2nd cause :
The subject is new for the students .
HYPOTHESIS
If the teacher at the very first period explain the importance of subject in the life then the students get familier with particular subject .
3rd cause:
Accoumts period is in the second half of the day .
HYPOTHESIS
If the timing of the period be kept in the first half of the day students are active .
4th cause :
They have already learnt the particular topic in the tutions .
HYPOTHESIS
If the students have already learnt topic then they can be give sums out of text book for extra practice ,so they will exlpore their knowledge .
5th cause :
Teacher directly solve sums from exercise rather solving them from illustrations .
HYPOTHESIS
If the teacher uses different maxims of teaching eg : easy to hard & simple to complex etc ...then the students will able to umderstand in an easy way .
